  1. Legal bases of the processing

The processing of personal data requires a legal basis, which we would like to introduce to you below.

When processing personal data, for which we obtain the consent of the data subject, Art. 6(1) point (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.

If processing personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, Art. 6(1) point (b) GDPR serves as a legal basis. This also applies to processing required to take steps prior to entering into a contract.

Where personal data processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6(1) point (c) GDPR serves as a legal basis.

If processing is necessary for any legitimate interest pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms, then Art. 6(1) point (f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing. The legitimate interest of our enterprise is in the implementation of our business activity, and the analysis, optimisation and maintenance of security of our website.

  1. Log files, hosting

Data transferred to us by the browser, in the scope of our legitimate interest in the analysis and for security reasons (so called “log files”) are automatically stored in the server statistics.

These include the following data:

- Language and version of the browser software

- Operating system used and its interface

- The referrer URL (previously visited web page)

- The host name of the requesting computer (IP address)

- Date and time of the server request

- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

- Contents of the request (specific page)

- Volume of data transferred

- Access status/HTTP status code.

As a rule, we cannot allocate this data to specific persons. This data is not combined with other data sources. The data will also be erased within 7 days, after a statistic evaluation. Data which have to be retained for longer periods for the purpose of providing proof are exempted from erasure until the incident has definitely been clarified.

We make use of hosting services. These serve to provide infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services to maintain the operation of this website.

We and/or our hosting provider process inventory data, contact data, content data, contractual data, usage data, meta and communication data of customers, interested parties and visitors to this website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in an efficient and safe provision of the website.

III. Contractual processing

The personal data provided by you for contractual purposes, e.g. for requesting quotes, such as name, address or e-mail address, will only be used internally, to answer your questions, handle your orders or give you access to specific contractual information.

  1. Contacting

If you contact us by email or the contact form, we will save the data that you provide to us voluntarily in order to answer your questions.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. In the case of withdrawal, your data will immediately be erased, unless a legal derogation exists for further processing. Otherwise, your data will be erased, when we have handled your query, or the purpose of storage has elapsed, and there are no other prejudicing legal derogations. Sometimes we make use of external service providers in the scope of our legitimate interests, with regard to analysis, optimisation and commercial operation of the website. As a prerequisite, the third party providers of this content need to know the user’s IP address since they would otherwise not be able to send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display the content. In addition, third parties may use pixel tags (invisible graphics, also referred to as “Web Beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes.
